James Corden found 'The Emoji Movie' charmingLos Angeles, July 21 (AZINS) Actor James Corden says he found the idea of unlocking the world of emojis inside a smartphone through the forthcoming film "The Emoji Movie" charming.

Corden was drawn to the story and the way it created a hidden world behind the popular icons.

"You can punctuate any moment with a great emoji," Corden said in a statement.

He added: "In the film these are characters with spirits, and souls, and hearts, and minds with something very, very real at stake for all of them."

The actor says the idea sounded "quite charming".

"These things that you use in your life all the time have a personality, something to lose, and real friendships. That felt very fun to me," he added.

"The Emoji Movie" is written and directed by Tony Leondis and co-written by Eric Siegel and Mike White. The movie is based on the ideograms of the same name.

Corden is playing the character of the Hi-5 emoji in the movie. Hi-5 is an open-face palm emoji ready to give a Hi-5 at any time.

The film also stars Steven Wright, Rob Riggle and Patrick Stewart. The Sony Pictures Entertainment India film will release in India on August 11.
