Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 to include AI face recognition technology; to launch on June 25June 22 (AZINS) Alongside the Redmi 6 Pro, Xiaomi will also launch the new Mi Pad 4 in China on June 25. The company made the announcement on Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo and revealed a few key specifications of the device as well.

According to the listing, the upcoming Mi Pad 4 will feature an AI face unlock technology. Xiaomi has also confirmed that the device will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset. Rumours suggest that it will be backed up by a 6000mAh battery and will include a 13MP OmniVision OV13855 sensor along with a 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 sensor towards the front.

Additionally, a report by Slashleaks pointed out that the device is expected to sport an 8-inch display and come in two variants - 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage priced at 1499 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,600) and 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage priced at 1999 Yuan (approximately Rs 20,800).

Xiaomi will also launch the Redmi 6 Pro during the event. The company made the announcement on the Weibo with a poster which sports a World Cup-theme.

The poster reveals a few key specifications of the device. For example, the Redmi 6 Pro will include a 19:9 screen ratio, Snapdragon 625 and a 4000mAh battery. In terms of rumoured specifications, the device may feature a 5.84-inch full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is expected to come in three variants – 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The smartphone might come equipped with a 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera.
