Apple's iOS 12 beta is now available to the public: Here's how to download itJune 26 (AZINS) Apple has rolled out the iOS 12 public beta version. One of the highlights of the newer iteration is the Memoji feature which turns an image into an animated cartoon.

iOS 12 comes will a host of new features and improvements. One of the new apps is Screen Time which tells you about the amount of time you have spent using your device, Cnet reported. To download the iOS 12 beta for public, you can enroll your device for the beta program. Be sure to backup the data before you install the beta version. The complete version will be released this fall.

There are a few things which you should make sure about before you try out the iOS 12 beta. Firstly, take a backup of your data to iCloud or iTunes. There will be a lot of bugs and many apps will crash frequently. iOS 12 will come to the iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 5s, 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2nd, generation, 12.9-inch iPad Pro 1st generation, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 4, ,iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, and iPod touch 6th generation.

There are two ways for you to download the iOS 12 beta:

You can enroll in the Apple Developer Program for a price of $99. Developers will have to install a provisioning profile and download the update over-the-air. Another option is to download the full build and load it through iTunes or Xcode. It offers early access to the beta code for iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

Secondly, you can sign up to the Apple public beta program and head to the webpage using Safari. Once signed up, you will be offered a profile to download and install it on your iOS device. Once done, restart your device and head to Settings > General > Software Update to download the update.
