Watch ‘Tere Jaisa’: The new ‘Satyameva Jayate’ song has John Abraham and Aisha Sharma at their romantic bestAug 1 (AZINS) John Abraham’s Satyameva Jayate hasn’t exactly been termed ‘mushy’ or ‘delicate’. In fact, it’s been mostly about the blood, the fight scenes and John Abraham getting his sweet, sweet revenge. But, in the new song release from the movie, ‘Tere Jaisa’, we see things take a slower turn and go down a more different path, as John and Aisha Sharma decide to trade kisses rather than blows.

The song has been sung by Tulsi Kumar and Arko, who do a good job at portraying the love that exists between the two characters. The song is also simple enough, nothing particularly outstanding as far as rhythms or melodies go, nothing we haven’t seen before quite a bit.

The video is really one place where people would be interested, since some scenes feature the two stars going pretty…hot and heavy. Nothing explicit, it’s all mostly implied. But you feel a little hot around the collar within the very first minute. It also mixes in a little humour in between to lighten the mood as Aisha tries to take off John’s shirt (a million girls just swooned).

The only thing weird about it is the fact that after months of watching John beat the life out of corrupt police officers and flail himself with knives, this seems like a sudden turn of events. You can’t help but feel that all this peace is just momentary, and you’re waiting for someone to burst through the door and ruin it (also, is John’s oddly disturbing drawing with the angry face something to be worried about?).

Either way, the song is good enough for the film, serves the purpose of the story well and isn’t a bad stab at a romantic night of passion put into music.

Milap Milan Zaveri’s Satyameva Jayate, starring John Abraham, Aisha Sharma and Manoj Bajpayee, releases in theatres on August 15, 2018.
