Diwali 2018: Top prepaid recharge offers from Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and BSNLOct 24 (AZINS) With the upcoming festival of Diwali, many telecom operators, including Reliance Jio, Vodafone and others, are offering special offers for prepaid subscribers. Let’s take a look:

BSNL

BSNL has introduced a new plan priced at Rs 78 for prepaid subscribers for a validity period of 10 days. Under this plan, users will get unlimited calling, unlimited data and unlimited video calling benefits. However, this plan does not include any SMS benefits.

Reliance Jio

Reliance Jio has announced a new Rs 1,699 prepaid annual recharge which will get you a total of 547.5 GB data through the year with a daily limit of 1.5GB. On the occasion of Diwali, Jio is also offering 100% cashback to all users in the form of Reliance Digital coupons on MyJio app.

The new plan offers 1.5GB per day, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, and free access to all Jio apps. The validity period is one year or 365 days and is perhaps the cheapest plan out there. Along with that there are plans worth Rs 4,999 (350GB no day data ceiling limit) and Rs 9,999 (750 GB no day data limit).

Vodafone

Vodafone introduced a prepaid plan for Rs 597. This new plan comes with a validity period of 112 days for smartphone users but comes with a validity period of 168 days for feature phones. Under this plan, users will get unlimited calls along with 100 SMSes per day and 10GB of data. However, the plan comes with a capping of voice calls at 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.

Airtel

Airtel has come up with a new plan, priced at Rs 597 for a period of 168 days. However, this plan is a bit different from most plans which telecom companies are offering at this point of time. The focus of this plan is on voice calling and not data usage.

It is a long-term prepaid plan to compete with BSNL and Jio, who have similar offerings. This plan will have unlimited calling option, free 100 SMS per day and 10GB free data. Airtel is not targeting the market which is looking for heavy data usage. It is likely to be rolled out in 2nd and 3rd tier cities. The primary target is users who need to be calling for a long period of time.
