India Mobile Congress 2018: Reliance Jio 5G demo and other things to watch out forOct 25 (AZINS) India Mobile Congress (IMC) has kick started in New Delhi from October 25. While all eyes will be on Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio 5g demo, there are many things which you can't afford to miss.

Reliance Jio is expected to showcase live demo of 5G services at the India Mobile Congress in Aerocity and simultaneously at IIT Delhi and Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai, according to sources at the company and vendors.

"Jio will showcase live demo of 5G services at IMC. It has partnered with three global companies for the demo," a source at Jio's vendor firm said.

Huawei Group's Honour will also participate in the IMC 2018.  Honor will showcase its flagship Kirin chipset, GPU Turbo and AI enabled smartphones for consumer convenience.

At IMC 2018, Huawei in collaboration with industry partners will be jointly showcasing innovations based on new ICT in the space of 5G, Smart Cities, Smart Campus, IoT, Home broadband and consumer devices. Additionally, a key highlight at Huawei and partner booths will be the 5G demo applications and experiential zones for 5G technologies in a range of digital scenarios relevant for modern digitized India, addressing real-life challenges and enhancing consumer experience.

Meanwhile, a source at Jio told PTI that the company is making an experience zone where it will showcase ultra 5G experiential use cases, use of 5G for smart hospitals, smart office, smart school and smart homes.

"The initial 5G services that public is expected to see in India is mobile ultra high speed broadband when the commercial network will start rolling out. Jio will give live demo of this enhanced speed on mobile devices," the source at Jio's vendor said.

Other firms that are participating in IMC 2018 are Qualcomm, Tech Mahindra, Facebook, Google, and several others. The three leading telecom companies – Airtel, Jio, Vodafone Idea Ltd – will also be present in IMC 2018.

Heads of the country's top telecom firms will be seen sharing dais during the India Mobile Congress from October 25-27, where these telcos are expected to discuss critical issues facing the industry.

According to the event schedule, Reliance Jio Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Bharti Airtel Chairman Sunil Mittal are going to be part of the inaugural session on October 25.

Vodafone Idea Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla is also expected to join the session.
