However, that hasn’t stopped him from making sure that he spends quality time with his family. On Friday night, he played the perfect son-in-law and celebrated his father-in-law Yajan Kashyap’s birthday. “Ayushmann was more like a son than a damaad,” said an onlooker. “His wife, Tahira, walked in before the rest of the gang at an upscale Chinese restaurant in the suburbs to make sure that all the arrangements were in place. The actor trooped in later with her side of the family and some close friends,” added the source.

The Bareilly Ki Barfi star, who is a singer too, had a few of his musician buddies with him. They got together to croon a medley of tracks including the birthday song. The source adds, “Ayushmann may have helped generate over Rs 200 crore-plus revenue for the industry this year with his two films, but he continues to be the down-to-earth guy that he has always been. He and Tahira attended to all the guests and stayed back till late.
