Game of Thrones: Things are dire for Stark kids in the first official teaser of final seasonJan 14 (AZINS) It's never good news when the Crypt of Winterfell makes an appearance on screen. Therefore making it clear what lies ahead of the currently surviving clan of the Starks, the showrunners of Game of Thrones have blown up the anxiety bugle for the fans of the show.

Nobody is safe.

HBO unveiled the first official teaser for the final season of the fantasy show based on the book series -- A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin. In the teaser we see Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) walk into the crypt one by one. But if you pay close attention to the dialogues being uttered, you'll hear Jon Snow being described in a sentence by the characters that have died and are now stone cold members of the crypt.

There's Lyanna Stark's promise and Catelyn Stark's disdain towards Jon Snow when these characters walk in. Ned Stark's voice echoes, "You are a Stark. Might not have my name, but you have my blood."

But what'll prove shocking for the fans, as it was for Jon, Sansa, and Arya, is when they will see new statues in the crypt.

The shock turns into fear as the cold waves of Night King's arrival freeze the feather  Robert Baratheon placed on Lyanna' statue when he came to visit Winterfell in the first episode.

The showrunners also unveiled the release date of the final season. From April 14 onwards, the Game of Thrones fandom shall take the final journey of six episodes together.
