Box Office: RJ Balaji's LKG scores 3rd biggest opening of 2019 in Tamil Nadu after Viswasam and PettaFeb 25 (AZINS) RJ Balaji's political entertainer LKG has scored the third biggest opening of 2019 in Tamil Nadu after Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta and Thala Ajith's Viswasam. The film, in its three-day opening weekend, has raked in nearly Rs 9 crore at the Tamil Nadu box-office.

The KR Prabhu directorial has also set the Chennai city box-office on fire with a three-day gross of Rs 1.38 crore (0.32+0.51+0.55). The film topped the Chennai city box-office followed by Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamannaah's Kanne Kalaimaane, which grossed Rs 52 lakhs and holdover hit Dhillukku Dhuddu 2 starring Santhanam at second and third spots respectively.

Sakthi Film Factory, which presented the RJ Balaji and Priya Anand starrer in the state, has already recovered the full investment and entered the profit mode from Sunday night show according to trade pundits. The film, which also marks the first production of Vels Film International banner owned by Ishari K Ganesh, has collected a distributor share of Rs 4.4 crore so far.

Meanwhile, RJ Balaji has taken some time off social media platforms and is spending some quality time with his children. He tweeted a cute video of him crooning the chartbuster Marana Mass song from Rajinikanth's Petta along with his kids.
