Pakistan has decided to send the IAF wing commander Abhinandan back to the country after India's strong message. “As a peace gesture, we are releasing Wing Commander Abhinandan tomorrow,” Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said in a statement in Parliament.

On Tuesday, India foiled an attempt by Pakistan Air Force to carry out strikes in Jammu and Kashmir. Post that, a pilot was "missing in action". Pakistan had later confirmed that the IAF wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman was in its custody. After the Pulwama attacks which took place on February 14 by Pakistan's terrorist group JeM, Indian Air Force destroyed terrorist camps in Pakistan on February 26 in what is being termed as India's Surgical Strikes 2.0. Among one such Indian fighter jet, was wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman. He got stranded in Pakistan after a PAF jet managed to strike his fighter jet down. Videos of his bravery made rounds of the internet.

Ravi Kishan had been actively tweeting for Abhinandan's release. He also expressed his grief during the Pulwama attack. "#Pulwama attack very very sad news," he had tweeted. Post IAF's strike, he wrote, "#indianairforce @narendramodi ji aap dono force ko dil se dhanyawad aur pranam karta Hun #jai hind ki sena." In fact even recently, Ravi had shared a photo of Abhinandan, which happened to be a screenshot from one of the videos which went viral. He captioned the photo, "BringAbhinandanBack" (with Indian National Flag emoticons) and his tweet was quite influential in starting the trend of Twitter.

Now with Abhinandan's release, Indians, who had pleaded with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his return, are all set to welcome him in the motherland India. Bollywood celebrities too are happy with the news and wish to see their hero back in the country soon enough.
