Tradition continues: Spoilers leak from first episode of final 'Game of Thrones' seasonMar 28 (AZINS) Following the age-old traditions of leaks and hacks, the final season of Game of Thrones will air on April 14. According to a report by Express.co.uk, Reddit user TherealFrikidoctor posted the spoilers from the first episode of the last season on the social media platform.

Unverified Reddit user Hang_the_dj2 shared the translation of the original post on Reddit community Freefolk. The post claims the user Frikidoctor has seen the first episode. DNA has chosen not to share these details to keep the fun of discovery intact for the fans.

HBO has been cracking down on the posts and videos uploaded by TherealFrikidoctor on YouTube. The account is now facing copyright infringement charges. But they have not put out an official statement.

The Game of Thrones fandom was not happy with this leak and made their voices heard.

This is not the first leak of season 8. Right before the shooting for the final season began in 2017, scripts of all the episodes appeared online detailing what to expect from the upcoming episodes. While the leak was never verified or acknowledged by HBO, it only forced the showrunners to increase their security efforts to keep the plot under wraps.

Before that during the season seven broadcast, hackers stole 1.5 TB memory from HBO and asked for $6 million ransom in bitcoins. The hackers stole various show files including episodes of other HBO properties like Insecure, Ballers, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. They also leaked personal information of the cast and crew of Game of Thrones.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jamie Lannister on the show had revealed the cast's move from the hardbound scripts to digital files. After that, they moved on to getting the script only on verified email accounts. Coster-Waldau also revealed that at one point they did not even get the script. Lines were fed to them via earpieces.

With just a couple of weeks to go, will HBO manage to contain the information or are we in for a series of leaks like always?
