Daisy Edgar Jones opens up about quitting 'RRR', says 'I am unable to participate'April 6 (AZINS) On Friday night, when news of British actress Daisy Edgar Jones quitting the much-anticipated film RRR broke out, there was a great deal of surprise.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, @DaisyEdgarJones is no longer a part of our film. We hope she has a brilliant future. Team #RRR (sic),” read an official note from the team, breaking the news to the public.

Daisy herself put up a post on Instagram that read: “RRR: Unfortunately due to family circumstances I am unable to participate in filming for this wonderful film. The script is truly brilliant and it’s such a great character, I hope whenever they cast receives as warm a welcome as I have and I wish the production all the best (sic).”

As anticipated, comments started flooding on her timeline with many disappointed NTR fans telling her it was her bad luck while others let her know that she’d be unfollowed.

The team has already begun shooting for a new actress to be part of the film since schedules have been readied and they are looking to rope in someone soon. Apparently, the makers were keen from the beginning to cast a fresh face for this particular role of a colonial British woman since they wanted to bring in an element of mystery to the role.

Starring Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles alongside Ram Charan and Jr NTR who play fictional versions of Alluri Seetha Rama Raju and Komaram Bheem, the film is produced by DVV Danayya on DVV Entertainments. Slated for a release on July 30, 2020, the film is a period drama and is set to be shot elaborately at various locations across India.

A recent schedule across Gujarat and Maharashtra had to be stalled and pushed for three weeks due to a minor injury that Charan had at the gym recently.
