'Kalank' Box Office Collection: Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's film makes Rs 66.03 crore in the extended opening weekendApril 22 (AZINS) Karan Johar's home banner Dharma Productions' latest offering Kalank has failed to leave an impressive mark on the audience. Though it got a record opening of Rs 21.60 crore on its release day that is, April 17, 2019, it has been witnessing a major drop from the second day. Kalank got an extended weekend but still, it didn't manage to mint money which was expected before. Until Saturday, the film made about Rs. 54.40 crore at the domestic market.

The Sunday collections of Kalank are out and as per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, it made Rs 11.63 crore. He tweeted, "#Kalank is rejected... Has a lacklustre *extended* opening weekend... Will find it difficult to sustain on weekdays... Arrival of #AvengersEndgame [on Fri] will hit biz hard... Wed 21.60 cr, Thu 11.45 cr, Fri 11.60 cr, Sat 9.75 cr, Sun 11.63 cr. Total: ? 66.03 cr. India biz."

At an event, held on Sunday, Alia Bhatt was asked about the response Kalank received, to which she said, "I'm not going to analyse my film because that is something not required. Audience verdict is the biggest proof for a film and when the audience does not accept a film then it should not do well. That's just the way it is. We should accept it, come back, try and make sure they're not disappointed next time."

Kalank stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
