'Bharat' Box Office report day 4: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer shows growth, crosses Rs 100 crore mark
June 9 (AZINS) Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif's Eid release Bharat has been seeing a lot of ups and downs over the past four days since its release. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has crossed Rs. 100 crore mark after four days of its release. The movie made total of Rs. 122.20 in India.

Bharat, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, opened to massive numbers. It was the second highest opening film after Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan-Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer Thugs Of Hindostan, which released on the occasion of Diwali last year. Both the movies earned well due to advance bookings.

Bharat made Rs. 42.30 crore on its first day (the Eid holiday), but the collections fell soon after. The movie minted mint Rs. 31 crore on day two (Thursday) and Rs. 22.20 crore on day three (Friday). The low numbers however did not stop the buzz of Bharat, which is how the Eid release showed 20% growth.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, "#Bharat rocks the BO... Biz jumps on Day 4... Multiplexes join the party, single screens rock-steady... Will continue its winning streak today [Sun]... Being patronised by family audience... Wed 42.30 cr, Thu 31 cr, Fri 22.20 cr, Sat 26.70 cr. Total: 122.20 cr. India biz."

A report on Box Office India goes on to state that surprisingly Bharat is performing well in East Punjab (growth of 40-50%). Good word of mouth, the portal claims, could be the reason why Bharat is performing well unlike other movies which could not pick up after slow Friday.

Produced by Atul Agnihotri along with Salman Khan Films, Bharat brings the trio of Ali, Salman and Katrina Kaif after Tiger Zinda Hai from 2017. Apart from them, the movie also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover, Nora Fatehi, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Shashank Arora and others in pivotal roles. Varun Dhawan also has a cameo in the movie which is an official adaptation of An Ode To My Father.
