George RR Martin reveals Starks will definitely be part of 'Game of Thrones' prequel
July 9 (AZINS) The excitement around Game of Thrones hasn't died, but grown ten-fold since the prequel of the web show was announced. Previously tentatively titled Bloodmoon, the prequel is now in buzz after George RR Martin gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly, revealing some details about the show.

“The Starks will definitely be there,” he told the portal. He also said, “Obviously the White Walkers are here — or as they’re called in my books, The Others — and that will be an aspect of it,” adding, “There are things like direwolves and mammoths.”

Confirming that Lannisters aren't part of the prequel, he mentioned, “The Lannisters aren’t there yet, but Castlery Rock is certainly there; it’s like the Rock of Gibraltar,” also stating, “It’s actually occupied by the Casterlys — for whom it’s still named after in the time of Game of Thrones.”

Talking about suggestions on the new title, Martin concluded, “I heard a suggestion that it could be called The Longest Night, which is a variant I wouldn’t mind. That would be pretty good.”
