'Angry Birds 2': Kapil Sharma dubs for the Hindi version of the character Red
July 25 (AZINS) It has become a trend now to have Bollywood celebrities dubbed for the Hindi version of Hollywood films. Be it Ranveer Singh for Deadpool, Varun Dhawan for Captain America, Tiger Shroff for Spider-Man or the latest being Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan for The Lion King. These actors shared their excitement when it was announced that they will be dubbing for these hit Hollywood films. Moreover, their fans also can't keep their calm to hear their favourite actors on the big screen.

Now, for the latest Hollywood film Angry Birds 2, comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has been roped in to give the voiceover for the leading character Red. Talking about the same, Kapil stated to Mumbai Mirror, "In the West, artists first voice for their characters and based on that, the film is shot using graphics. But over here, we have to talk according to the graphics."

He further said, "He is the hero but, at times, he gets entangled in tough situations. Knowing my history, you’d agree I am Red."

Kapil went on to say, "The producers (Sony Pictures Entertainment India) expected me to scale up the humour and I have but it’s very situational. In fact, there are times when the character’s anger will make people laugh. Though I’ll be voicing the character, they won’t see me in it."

Talking about this latest trend, Kapil said, "When Shah Rukh Bhai dubbed for the film, the audience could relate more to the character because it spoke in a voice they recognised."
