Even after Kabir Singh's MASSIVE success, why does Shahid Kapoor still feel like a newcomer? Find out
Aug 5 (AZINS) Despite facing a lot of flak and criticism from the critics and a certain section of the population, Shahid Kapoor's recent offering Kabir Singh has become a huge success at the box office. The movie has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office and with that, it has also become a member of the coveted Rs 200 crore club. Post the massive success of the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, Shahid Kapoor expressed in one of his recent interviews that he still feels like a newcomer.

Riding high on the tremendous love that his fans have showered upon Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor told GQ magazine that despite spending about 15-16 years in the showbiz, it's not his comfort zone. He also mentioned that he still feels the need to wrap his head around the success of his film.

The actor was quoted as saying by the magazine, "I kind of feel like I don’t belong here, I feel like a newcomer. I need to figure out this new room, and this new club that I’ve entered. Even though I’ve been here for 15-16 years, it’s not my comfort zone, I need to get my head around it."

He further said, "I can’t [afford to] feel like I know exactly what’s going on, and exactly what I need to do next. So I’m trying to keep it simple, and eventually I’ll go with my instinct and my gut.”

For those who're uninitiated, Kabir Singh is a remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Deverakonda as the protagonist. So far, Kabir Singh has managed to rake in about Rs 272 crore at the box office. The movie also stars Kiara Advani as his love interest.
