Happy Birthday Saif Ali Khan: From picking 'Main Khiladi Tu Anari' to 'Sacred Games', here's why actor is hatke nawab
Saif Ali Khan turned 49-year-old today, still proving that he is the most hatke nawab

Saif Ali Khan is probably one of the coolest nawabs in B-Town since 25 years now. The actor turned turned 49-year old on Friday, and for his age, he is living quite the life, breaking all kinds of stereotypes with each passing day.

Whether in movies, Television or personal life, Saif Ali Khan has always done something that makes him hatke from the stereotypical nawab or from the pataudi family. Even though his father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was a famous cricketer who went by the name of Tiger Pataudi, Saif opted to follow mother Sharmila Tagore's footsteps and turned his focus to acting.

Right from picking Main Khiladi Tu Anari at the beginning of his career, to working in Sacred Games (2) currently, Saif, at every step of his life, has proven that he's not the steretypical nawab. Not only on the professional front, the actor in fact has taken certain decisions in personal life which also make us believe the same.

Here, take a look at what we're talking about:

1. Picking Main Khiladi Tu Anari early on in his career
Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar's iconic pairing in Main Khiladi Tu Anari needs no introduction. Being a nawab, picking up a project like that, post which he could be tagged as anari, was quite a bold step for Saif Ali Khan. And this step paid off for the actor, since he got recoginzed after line-up of flops.

2. Kya Kehna
Saif Ali Khan played womanizer Rahul Modi in Kundan Shah's Kya Kehna. He ends up making Preity Zinta illegitimate mother of his child in the movie, a concept which India was not yet ready to explore.

3. Salaam Namaste
Similarly Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta normalized the concept of live-in relationships, which was still a taboo in India with their 2005 release Salaam Namaste.

4. His weddings to Amrita Singh and Kareena Kapoor
Whether getting married to a much-elder Amrita Singh or then a much-younger Kareena Kapoor, Saif kept his heart above everything, a trait which is rare to find in a nawab- Change it to '  Whether getting married to a much-elder Amrita Singh or then a much-younger Kareena Kapoor, Saif wore his heart on his sleeves and didn't fall prey to 'lok kya kahenge' syndrome'.

5. Sacred Games
Saif Ali Khan is currently seen as Sartaj Singh in the digital show Sacred Games 2. The actor, who has made a name for himself by doing unique content like Race, Cocktail, Go Goa Gone and Being Cyrus in films, signed up for the show even before India started accepting the concept of web shows as a whole. Not only that, Sacred Games 2 explores a new side to Saif Ali Khan. The actor is even seen using some abusive language due to circumstances and it blends with the aesthetics of it perfectly.
