'Batla House' Box Office Report Day 4: John Abraham's film inches closer to Rs 50 crore mark
John Abraham and Mrunal Thakur starrer Batla House hit the screens on Independence Day and it started off on a good note at the box office. On opening day, the film minted about Rs 14.50 crore approx but on Friday and Saturday, it witnessed a drop. The film made Rs 7.50 crore and Rs 9.50 crore respectively. Batla House is directed by Nikkhil Advani and also stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead.

Now as per reports in Box Office India, on Sunday, Batla House witnessed a huge jump as it made collections of about Rs 12 crore approx. The film has now made about Rs 43.50 crore approx until now and is likely to cross Rs 50 crore mark by its first Monday.

Meanwhile, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#BatlaHouse has a healthy *extended* weekend... Gathered momentum on Day 3 and 4... Faring better in #DelhiUP... Will need to maintain the pace on weekdays... Thu 15.55 cr, Fri 8.84 cr, Sat 10.90 cr, Sun 12.70 cr. Total: ? 47.99 cr. India biz."

Earlier it was reported that Batla House might not release during Independence Day as two accused in the Batla House encounter case, namely Ariz Khan and Shehzad Ahmad  filed a plea with Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the movie's release.
