'Mission Mangal' Box Office Day 19: Akshay Kumar starrer benefits from Ganesh Chaturthi holiday
It has been over three weeks since Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Nithya Menon and Sharman Joshi's film Mission Mangal released in theatres on Independence Day. The movie faced a Box Office clash with John Abraham starrer Batla House.

While Batla House's run at the Box Office seems to come to an end, Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal, despite facing tough competition from Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer is still going smooth at the Box Office. After seeing a low point on Friday with Rs. 1.50 crore Box Office collections, Mission Mangal witnessed growth on Monday.

The Ganesh Chaturthi festival boosted Mission Mangal's Box Office collections. The movie minted Rs. 2.50 crore on its third Monday, after earning Rs. 4.50 crore on Sunday, according to Box Office India. The collections of Rs. 2.50 crore net, especially in third week, comes as a surprise and indication that the movie is connecting well among audiences despite obstacles.

On the other hand though, Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer, which witnessed its first Monday, had decent collections too. The movie, despite Prabhas mania, failed to beat Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh in order to become highest grossing film of 2019 on first Monday. Meanwhile Mission Mangal went on to pass the Monday litmus test with flying colours.

Here's the breakup of Mission Mangal Box Office Collection so far:

Week One - 1,22,82,00,000

Week Two - 48,95,00,000

Friday - 1,50,00,000 apprx

Mission Mangal, made of budget of Rs. 32 crore, is directed by Jagan Shakti and produced by R. Balki. The movie is jointly produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, Fox Star Studios, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu.
