'She’s an amazing artist but maybe it was time for her': Priyanka Chopra on Zaira Wasim's decision of quitting films
Back in June, Zaira Wasim took to her social media pages and announced her disassociation from films. She wrote, "For a very long time now it has felt like I have struggled to become someone else. As I had just started to explore and make sense of the things to which I dedicated my time, efforts and emotions and tried to grab hold of a new lifestyle, it was only for me to realise that though I may fit here perfectly, I do not belong here."

Zaira's last outing is The Sky Is Pink which is yet to hit the screens. In the film, she plays the role of the onscreen daughter of Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Farhan Akhtar, named Aisha Chaudhary. During a recent interaction with Mumbai Mirror, when PeeCee was asked about Zaira's decision of quitting film industry, she stated, "It’s a personal choice. Who are we to dictate what someone should and shouldn’t do? She is an amazing actor who has done incredible work. We will always wish her the best."

On being quizzed about talking about Zaira, who is not even promoting the film, Priyanka replied, "I’ve spoken to her many times, but not about her decision to quit films. That’s none of my business. She’s an amazing artist but maybe it was time for her…"

The Sky Is Pink is directed by Shonali Bose and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Kilian Kerwin, Dr.Madhu Chopra and also Priyanka. The film is set to hit the screens on October 11, 2019.
