After knowing his financial difficulties, Aamir Khan announces a book project on veteran music composer Vanraj Bhatia
A couple of weeks back, veteran music composer Vanraj Bhatia spoke to Mumbai Mirror about living a tough life currently. He had said, "I have no money but one rupee left in my account." Vanraj Ji went on to reveal that he has severe knee pain, hearing loss, extended bouts of memory lapses, while his domestic help who has been living with him for past decade revealed that Vanraj Ji hasn't gone on medical check-ups.

Now, Aamir Khan took to his Twitter page and announced a book project on Vanraj Bhatia. He tweeted, "Hey guys, Happy to announce a book project on the great music composer Vanraj Bhatia, to be written by Khalid Mohamed, at the initiative of my friend Dalip Tahil."

Earlier, Kabir Bedi spoke about meeting Vanraj Ji by tweeting, "I visited #VanrajBhatia yesterday. He is lively and spirited as ever. But, yes, ALL friends should help him at this difficult time. On his own, he has composed an opera on Girish Karnad’s play “Agni Matu Male” (The Fire and the Water). And he’s 92!"

While filmmaker Shyam Benegal told Mumbai Mirror, "I think unfortunately, Vanraj painted himself into a corner over time. Apart from financial needs, he doesn’t have friends who can match his intelligence, sense of humour and world view. He needs someone to talk to on a day-to-day basis. A tough call in this day and age."

Vanraj Ji is known for his amazing work in the movies namely Ankur, Manthan, Bhumika, Junoon, 36 Chowringhee Lane, Kalyug, Mandi, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Hip Hip Hurray, Trikal, Yatra, Tamas, Ajooba, Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama, Droh Kaal, Suraj Ka Satvan Ghoda, Jaya Ganga, Sardari Begum and Char Adhyay.
