'Superstar Singer' winner Prity Bhattacharjee expresses her desire to sing for Deepika Padukone
Nine-year-old contestant hailing from Kolkata, who came to Mumbai with only dreams in her eyes, has won the title of Superstar Singer winner. Prity Bhattacharjee, after reaching the stage of six finalists, happened to be declared as the winner of the show.

Prity received not only the trophy, but also a cash prize of Rs. 15 lakhs. The TV show host Jay Bhanushali, who recently became proud father to a baby girl with wife Mahhi Vij, declared Prity as winner of the show. In an interaction with Times Of India website, Prity stated that it was an unbelievable moment.

She further went on to state that her grandmother was in tears, and told Prity she would receive a grand welcome in her hometown. Prity also expressed her desire to work alongside popular playback singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal and others. More so, when asked whom would Prity like to lend her voice to, she immediately took Deepika Padukone's name.

The top finalists, apart from Prity, were Chaitanya Devadha, Harshit Nath, Sneha Shankar, Ankona Mukherjee and Nishtha Sharma. All the six finalists were rewarded with a cheque of Rs. 2 lakhs for their educational fund.
