'Housefull 4' Box Office day 1: Akshay Kumar's film gets a good start
Akshay Kumar's movie Housefull 4 had a good advance opening. The movie was the sixth highest advance opening film of 2019. Housefull 4, which released on Dhanteras i.e. October 25, 2019, had an advance opening of approximately 35-40%, according to a report on Box Office India.

The Diwali release went on to mint huge numbers in the morning shows. Housefull 4 starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde in lead roles earned Rs. 18.85 crore on its opening day, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The movie's Box Office collections were hampered for evening shows due to pre-Diwali festivities.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "#HouseFull4 puts up a healthy number on Day 1... Biz did not grow in evening due to pre-#Diwali festivities... Day 4 [Mon] is extremely crucial, when #Diwali celebrations begin and families throng cinema halls... Fri 18.85 cr. #India biz. #HF4"

Housefull 4 thus has the highest day 1 collection in the whole franchise, according to Box Office India. Interestingly, almost a decade back, the movie had minted almost half of its Box Office collection with Rs. 9.32 crore earnings on day 1.

Here, take a look:

1. Housefull - 9,32,00,000 (2010)

2. Housefull 2 - 12,19,00,000 (2012)

3. Housefull 3 - 15,24,00,000 (2016)

4. Housefull 4 - 18,50,00,000 apprx (2019)

Housefull 4 has worked best in Mumbai, but is not working as expected in the Northern areas of India like Delhi, UP and East Punjab. Interestingly, Akshay's film worked well in Gujarat and Saurashtra. The movie, helmed by Farhad Samjhi, might find it diffcult to earn over the weekends due to pre-Diwali festivities. Monday, which happens to be Diwali, could however be a gamechanger for Housefull 4.

Also starring Chunky Pandey and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles, Housefull 4 released alongside Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh. Among all three films, Housefull 4 performed best on its opening day, but it remains to be seen whether the reviews of the film will affect its collections or not.
