A few days back, news reports stated that Shah Rukh Khan came to the rescue of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's manager Archana Sadanand at the Bachchan Diwali bash. For the uninitiated, a report on Times of India states that not only SRK but Aishwarya herself was also responsible for saving Archana.

The report states that Archana was leaving the party at 3 am when she did not realize the diya close to her and her lehenga caught fire. While every industry member was still gathering what happened, Aishwarya came to her manager's resue and tore off the burnt pieces of lehenga to avoid more damage.

It was only after Aishwarya's act that Shah Rukh Khan jumped in and offered Archana his sherwani. Confirming the same, a source told the portal, “While SRK did indeed jump into the fray to help Archana Sadanand by taking off his sherwani and got involved in the process too - I felt if it wasn’t for Aishwarya’s presence of mind the situation could have been much much worse for her— the fire was flaring up real quick and if she didn’t rip off Archana’s clothes like she did, to limit the damage - things could have turned out very different and graver than it is.”

Soon after it was revealed that Archana was admitted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai and kept under observation. Both Aishwarya and Shah Rukh Khan have suffered blisters and burn marks on their hands. While Shah Rukh Khan might celebrate his birthday with the media tomorrow, 46-year-old birthday girl Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently spending time with husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya in Rome.
