Ajay Devgn is all set to drop the trailer of his much-awaited film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior tomorrow. In the film, the actor will be seen playing the role of Subhedar Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of the Maratha Empire in the 17th century. Along with Ajay, the historical drama also stars Saif Ali Khan as the main antagonist and Kajol as the female lead opposite Ajay.

Now, after the first look of many characters, Ajay finally shared the poster featuring Kajol. In the poster, the talented actor is seen dressed up in a Kasta saree giving an intense look and making for a perfect Maratha woman. She plays the role of Savitri Malusare, the wife of Tanhaji in the film. Ajay shared the poster with a caption stating, "Savitribai Malusare - Tanhaji ke saahas ka sahara... aur unke bal ki shakti."

While Kajol wrote, "Main aapko harne nahi doongi"

Talking about Kajol's role in Tanhaji, director Om Raut told Bombay Times, "Savitribai Malusare is a very important character. She is a strong woman who stands behind her warrior husband. She is loving, homely, motherly, and is also Tanhaji’s strong support system in every aspect of his life. While he fights the war on the battlefield, Savitri manages the fort at home. We wanted an actor who could pull off the multi-faceted character effortlessly. When we narrated the part to Kajolji, she liked it a lot. She has enacted the part beautifully, and it’s a treat to watch her on-screen."

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
