'Aparajitha Ayodhya': Kangana Ranaut's first home production to be based on Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid case
Kangana Ranaut currently has several films in her kitty. Her upcoming film is Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's Panga in which she plays the role of a kabaddi champion. Then she also has Thalaivi which is a biopic on late actor and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa. Kangana also has an action-packed film titled Dhaakad. All the films are slated to release next year. Today, the actor announced the first film of her home production and it's titled Aparajitha Ayodhya.

The film is based on the infamous Ram Mandir- Babri Masjid case which had been going on for a very long time. Talking about the project, Kangana told Mumbai Mirror, "The Ram temple has been a burning topic for hundreds of years. As a child born in the ’80s, I have grown up hearing the name Ayodhya in a negative light because the piece of land on which was born a king, who was the epitome of sacrifices, became the subject of a property dispute. The case has changed the face of Indian politics and the verdict has ended the centuries-old dispute while embodying the secular spirit of India."

Kangana also shared, "What makes Aparajitha Ayodhya different is that it is the journey of the protagonist from a non-believer to a believer. And since, in a way, it reflects my personal journey, I decided it would be the apt subject for my first production."

The talented actor concluded by saying, "I’ve seen bhakts refusing to step out of the rain, arguing how can they be warm and dry when Ram Lalla is wet and cold,” the actress says, adding it’s a coming-of-age journey of not just the protagonist, but the country as well. “Despite all efforts to wipe out our spirit of unity and secularism, we remain a nation of believers, we remain undefeated. Hence the prefix ‘Aparajitha’, which means the unvanquished."
