'Chhapaak' song 'Nok Jhok': Deepika Padukone, Vikrant Massey encapsulate the thrill of a budding romance
Deepika Padukone is all set to step into the shoes of an acid-attack survivor in her next film Chhapaak which is inspired by true events.

A few days back, the makers of the film shared the trailer which was well received by fans as well as critics with everyone not only praising Deepika's acting but also her co-star in the film, Vikrant Massey who managed to stand out in the trailer owing his calm presence and electric but natural chemistry with DP.

While Deepika plays the role of Malti, Vikrant plays the role of Amol, Malti's partner, and confidant.

To depict their budding romance, friendship, and camaraderie, the makers of the film today released the first song from Chhapaak titled Nok Jhok.

The song has been penned by Gulzar, who is also the father of director Meghna Gulzar. Siddharth Mahadevan has sung the soulful song that has music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. and beautifully depicts the characters' journey from friendship to love.

It talks about the small disagreements, affection, and fondness that is the essence of every relationship.

Deepika took to her Twitter and released the song. She tweeted, "Bigdi hui baat ko banata hai,aur ruthe hue ko manata hai pyaar...

Chhapaak is based on the real-life acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked by a 32-year-old man in 2005. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is slated to release on January 10, 2020. The film's release will clash with Ajay Devgn's magnum opus Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior which also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kajol in lead roles.
