Ranveer Singh mimicked Asrani's iconic character from Sholay. He did so for an advertisement. Dressed as a jailer, Ranveer's video has various special effects apart from his dialogue 'Hum Angrezon ke zamaane ke jailer hai'. For the uninitiated, it is one of the most fondly remembered roles played by Asrani.

Much like all his previous videos, Ranveer's 'Angrezo ke zaamane ke jailer' aka Asrani from Sholay, made every celebrity, as well as fans, laugh out loud. Ranveer's getup and expressions in themselves were enough to make people's funny bones tickle.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Kabir Khan's 83 The Film. His character is based on cricketer Kapil Dev, while the movie focuses on the 1983 World Cup Win for India. The movie also features Ranveer's wife Deepika Padukone in a cameo appearance. She is also co-producer for the movie.
