December was a memorable month for superstar Salman Khan. 

The actor celebrated his 54th birthday on December 27, the release of his film, the third installment of his superhit franchise Dabangg - Dabangg 3 but the most special moment for him was the birth of his niece, Ayat Sharma. 

Arpita Khan Sharma welcomed her second child, a daughter via C-section, on the same day as Salman's birthday, a gift from her to her brother. 

Arpita and her husband, actor Aayush Sharma had also announced the birth of their daughter Ayat on their respective social media profiles. 

Today, Arpita took to Instagram and shared a heartwarming and first-ever picture of baby Ayat with Salman Khan and Salma Khan.

She captioned the picture saying, "There’s nothing in this world that scared me & the only reason was I knew I had you by my side & you would never let anything happen to me. Now ayat has been blessed with the same security. These hands are god sent. Overwhelmed, grateful & thankful for @beingsalmankhan & my amazing mom @salmakhan1942 two people who only have love to give." 

Ayat's first picture was shared last month by her father Ayush Sharma in an adorable Instagram post. 

In the picture, Aayush could be seen holding Ayat as his son Ahil Sharma looked on. He had captioned the picture saying, "Welcome to this beautiful world Ayat. You’ve brought a lot of happiness into our lives. May you touch everyone’s life with a lot of love and joy."
