Tanushree Dutta calls to boycott Ganesh Acharya, says those who support him 'themselves are engaging in such acts'
A day after there were reports of a 33-year-old filing a complaint against ace choreographer Ganesh Acharya alleging that he had forced her to watch adult films and deprived her of work, actor Tanushree Dutta who has always been vocal about women's issues has said that Bollywood should boycott the choreographer.

Tanushree, in a statement, said, "It's time Bollywood and the other Indian film industries boycott choreographer Ganesh Acharya completely. Hiding behind the male superstars who work with this despicable man, he has been abusing his power and position to harass, bully and take advantage of vulnerable young newcomers to the industry." Tanushree went on to express her disapproval over how "leading stars" and "heroes" continue to work with the choreographer even after continued complaints of fraud and non-payment.

"Even after all the information of fraud, non-payment of dues, sexual harassment of dancers, bullying and intimidation and even physical abuse of dancers are coming out about Ganesh Acharya in the media, if the actors, directors, and producers still work with him, it would mean that they themselves are engaging in such acts also. It's a warning to the film industry to stay the hell away from Ganesh Acharya otherwise your own reputation will be joined to his character. I'm sure many more girls and boys will come out about his misbehavior and shady business, opening floodgates in the future," she said.

According to reports, a woman, who is also an assistant choreographer filed a complaint against Ganesh at Maharashtra Women's Commission and Amboli Police Station. She had accused him of making her watch porn whenever she visited him at his office situated in Mumbai. The woman also revealed that she was forced to give a commission from her income to him.
