Video: Priyanka Chopra pays tribute to late Wendell Rodricks at fashion show
On Saturday evening, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was the showstopper at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2020 grand finale. The actor walked the ramp in a black gown and made heads turn at the event. She was joined by leading fashion designers of India namely Anamika Khanna, Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Abraham and Thakore, Raghavendra Rathore, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Anju Modi, Namrata Joshipura, Monisha Jaising, JJ Valaya, Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna, Suneet Varma, Gaurav Gupta, Ashish Soni, Sunil Sethi among others.

At the event after walking the ramp, Priyanka took the mic and praised India's fashion. She spoke fondly of late designer Wendell Rodricks, who passed away a few days back. The actor stated, "It's only apt on a night like this in presence of so many luminaries from the Indian fashion industry that we remember Wendell Rodricks. He was a pioneer. He was a visionary of Indian fashion and will always and forever be missed."

For uninitiated, Wendell had slammed Priyanka's attire which she wore at Grammys earlier this year. Many slammed him for body-shaming and he had clarified his statement by saying, "For all those that said some nasty things about me body shaming, here is my retort. Did I say anything about her body? No. Many women did. I just said the dress was wrong for her despite it being couture. It was more dress shaming than body shaming. Stop this sermon from high and read the post before you speak."

Wendell passed away on February 12, 2020, at his home in Goa.
