After Barack Obama, Donald Trump mentions Shah Rukh Khan's DDLJ on maiden India visit; YRF reacts
US President Donald Trump's visit to India has been one of the most hyped about events for the past few weeks. The US President along with the first lady Melania Trump and daughter Ivanka Trump landed in India today for their two-day trip and Trump taking the stage today at Motera Stadium, the world's largest stadium, on day 1 spoke about superstar Shah Rukh Khan's hit film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

The mention of the film, along with making SRK fans go into a frenzy also was a reminder of former US President Barack Obama's visit to India in 2015. Trump was addressing the crowd at the stadium in Ahmedabad and brought up DDLJ to speak of 'classic films' that the Indian film industry has given the world.

Yash Raj Films immediately reacted to Trump's speech by tweeting about the same.

In a similar fashion, Obama in 2015 had captivated the crowds at Siri Fort auditorium in New Delhi with "Badi badi deshon mein... you know what I mean." Obama began his speech on that visit with, "Senorita... badi badi deshon mein... you know what I mean..." to which the audiences had responded with deafening applause.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, produced by Yash Raj Films, also starring Kajol, released more than 20 years ago in 1994 and made Shah Rukh Khan a superstar, first in India and then abroad. It is the film that, according to Shah Rukh, "Whatever I'll stand for as an actor, in the whole of my career, whenever it ends, it will start with and end at Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge."
