It was back in 2015, Konkona Sensharma took to her Twitter page and announced separation from husband and actor Ranvir Shorey. She had tweeted, "Ranvir and I have mutually decided to separate, but continue to be friends and co-parent our son. Will appreciate your support. Thank you." The estranged couple has a nine-year-old son named Haroon and they have been co-parenting him since the announced the separation.

Now as per reports in Spotboye, Konkona and Ranvir have filed for divorce with mutual consent. The actors tried counselling in a detailed way but couldn't make their marriage give another shot. Moreover, it's not confirmed who will get custody of Haroon as both have been looking after him equally.

Talking about it, a source told the entertainment portal, "This is one of the most amicable divorces ever seen. But yes, it is extremely sad that they could not get back together as man and wife."

Earlier, the source had also said, "It makes a big difference if a marriage counsellor talks to a person in an estranged marriage rather than just his/her friends and relatives talking about the same."

They went on to share, "Both are very close to their son, there is no acrimony between the two, and they feel that their marriage deserves another chance. Let's put it like this, they are not able to make up their mind if they should take the drastic step of divorce. Since they are not very sure of what they should do, they are meeting certain professionals who can help them out in deciding in this regard."

Konkona and Ranvir tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their baby boy in 2011.
