'Wonder Woman 1984': Makers unveil golden body armour clad Gal Gadot along with release date
Gal Gadot is all set to return as Amazon warrior Diana Prince in the upcoming film, Wonder Woman 1984. The trailer for the film was unveiled in December 2019. Since then, fans have been impatient to know the release date of the superhero flick. Now, the makers have finally announced the date when the world will see Gal as Wonder Woman once again on the big screen. DC Comics took to their social media pages and announced the release date.

They shared a motion poster of Wonder Woman 1984 featuring Gal as the fierce warrior donning golden body armour. The release date was also announced and it is - June 5, 2020.

They captioned the motion poster stating, "See you in ‘84! #WW84".

Meanwhile, the trailer of 2017's Wonder Woman sequel sees the return of the Gadot as Diana Prince during the mid-1980s, decades after her heroics in the first film, which was set during World War First.

Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins and produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Stephen Jones.

Along with Gal, the much-awaited superhero film also stars Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen in pivotal roles. 

This is the ninth instalment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Gal has been seen as Wonder Woman in movies namely Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Wonder Woman (2017) and Justice League (2017).

Apart from Wonder Woman 1984, Gal also has Death on the Nile which is likely to be released this year.
