Deepika Padukone takes up WHO's Safe Hands challenge, nominates Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo, Virat Kohli
On Friday, World Health Organisation's Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had taken to his Twitter page and nominated Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone to take up Safe Hands challenge amidst coronavirus pandemic. He had tweeted, "I now nominate @deepikapadukone @priyankachopra @Schwarzenegger @CTurlington to take the #SafeHands challenge by sharing their video & calling on at least another 3 people to join us! Together, we can beat #COVID19!" Finally, Deepika has accepted the challenge.

The actor took to her Twitter page and quote tweet Tedros' tweet with a video in which she is seen washing her hands with soap in the right way as WHO had said. Deepika shot the video inside her bathroom wearing a bathrobe and covered her face with a mask. The video has Bob Marley's 1977 iconic song 'Three Little Birds' in the background. 

Deepika tweeted the video stating, "Thank You @DrTedros, for nominating me for the #SafeHands Challenge! #COVID19 surely is an uphill health and public safety task, but all of us are in this fight together! I further nominate @rogerfederer, @Cristiano and @imVkohli to take up this challenge! #coronavirus #StaySafe"

Deepika has further nominated Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Virat Kohli to take up Safe Hands challenge.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, the dimpled beauty will next be seen in Kabir Khan's '83, in which she plays the role of Romi Dev opposite Ranveer Singh who will be seen as Kapil Dev. The biographical sports film is slated to release on April 10, 2020.
