Ravi Kishan distributes food items to film industry workers amid coronavirus lockdown
After the countrywide lockdown in India, many helping hands have reached out to help the poor and needy. Some have donated to the Prime Minister’s relief fund 'PMCares' whereas some individuals, organizations, and celebrities have started helping on their own by directly coming in contact with the most affected people due to the shutdowns.

Leading the film industry brigade is Akshay Kumar who donated a whopping Rs 25 crore to PMCares and Salman Khan who will be bearing expenses of 25,000 daily wagers from the film industry as well as of his staff from Salman Khan Films. The latest addition to the list is actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan who has started distributing food items to workers from the film industry. Film technicians, small-time actors from Hindi and Bhojpuri cinema came to collect the food. Ravi has pledged to help at least 100 people every day with food items.

In addition to this, Ravi also appealed to the well-to-do people from the film industry to come forward and help. He said, "Think of the dancers, junior artistes, light men, stunt artists who have played a big role in your successful career."  Many celebrities across all the film industries in India have echoed this sentiment and urged people to support the poor and needy in whichever small/big way they can.

For the uninformed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a countrywide lockdown of 21 days which will get over by April 14 midnight. Hopefully, the citizens of India will abide by the rules and regulations during this lockdown and help the doctors, police force and the government by not putting additional pressure on containing the Covid-19 pandemic.
