'Will always be thankful to him for taking care of Sonam': Anil Kapoor remembers Irrfan Khan
Anil Kapoor mourned the demise of actor Irrfan Khan. While stating that he is indescribably sadddened to hear the loss of film fraternity, Anil also thanked the late actor for taking care of his daughter Sonam Kapoor while the two worked together.

Anil's tweet read, "Indescribably saddened to hear that we've lost Irrfan Khan. I'll always be thankful to him for taking care of Sonam when they worked together & for being her guiding light at the time. He was an inspiration for everyone, a remarkable actor, unmatched talent & a great human being."

Sonam Kapoor herself had gone on to admit that she was at her lowest when she worked with Irrfan in the movie 'Thank You'. Also featuring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty, Rimi Sen and Celina Jaitly, the movie released in 2011. Sonam shared images from the movie's press conference with Irrfan Khan and wrote, "Rest in peace @irrfan sir. You have no idea what your kindness and encouragement meant to me at my lowest. My condolences to your family and loved ones (sic)."

Irrfan Khan died during his treatment post a colon infection. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani's hospital and was cremated in Versova kabrastan on April 29, 2020, at 3 pm. The late actor is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons Babil and Ayan.
