Twitter's new feature to prompt users to read article before sharing
Microblogging site Twitter on Wednesday announced that it will be testing a new feature, possibly on Android.

The new feature will include a prompt message which will pop up whenever a user is about to retweet an article. The prompt will ask the user if he would like to read the article before retweeting it 

Twitter stated that it wanted users to read the article before tweeting it.

"Sharing an article can spark conversation, so you may want to read it before you Tweet it. To help promote informed discussion, we're testing a new prompt on Android –– when you Retweet an article that you have," Twitter support stated ina tweet.

With this feature, the user can also add his/her own comments to the post while retweeting posts or articles.

Earlier, Twitter introduced a new feature that allowed tweets to be tagged as 'harmfully misleading' by labelling them orange or red. This is Twitter's new way of dealing with fake news orr videos.

For the first time, Twitter tagged a tweet from President Donald Trump about mail-in voting as “potentially misleading.”
