'Dark' season 3 trailer: Not Jonas, his lover Martha is someone to look out for
The time-twisting tale 'Dark' is coming to an end and this time, it is not just time that has been twisted. The third and final season of 'Dark' would finally unveil the real twisted human brain which started the time travel chaos on the show. Guess what? The trailer hints that Martha, who plays the lead character Jonas' lover, has a big involvement in it all.

P.S. Major spoliers ahead.

The first and second season of 'Dark' introduced us to Jonas from the three worlds. Many-a-times, the story hinted that the mysterious character 'Adam' is responsible for causing the chaos among the human lives, and that he was responsible for the apocalypse in each world. Some instances of the same could be traced back to the priest Noah's kilings in the show. In fact, when turning into Adam's disciple, Noah happened to kill a man 'for the greater good'.

The latest trailer however changes everything. Jonas, who is on a quest to find out what exactly caused the repeated cycle, is confronted by his lover (of a complicated relationship) Martha. In the face of helping the world, Martha, according to the trailer, tries to get Jonas killed. She states that his death would cause things to go back to normal.

The biggest twist here, however, is that a woman has replaced Adam. She is even seen hinting at 'Adam and Eve' (the origins of human beings) and an infinite cycle. While major hints point out that Martha has replaced the older version of Jonas, Adam, can she really do that, is a mystery waiting to be unveiled in Season 3.

If things go back to normal, the makers have quite a few questions to answer, namely - What would happen to Mikkel Nielsen, who grows up to become Michael Kahnwald? Will he still commit suicide? Would Hannah actually get married to Ulrich? What would happened to Katharina and her kids? Would Ulrich still kill a young boy? Will Noah still exist? Would Jonas actually turn Adam even in the same world? And mainly, would every missing person come back to life?

Featuring Louis Hoffman as Jonas Kahnwald and Lisa Vicari as Martha Nielsen, the award-winning German series is created by Baran Bo Odar Jantje Friese. The show would stream on Netflix from June 27, 2020.
