'What happened to you was their Karma, not yours': Shekhar Kapur pens on Sushant Singh Rajput's death
Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur took to his Twitter page and condemned the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Mr India helmer was all set to collaborate with SSR for an ambitious project Paani which did not happen eventually. SSR also had always praised Shekhar and had heartwarming words for each other. In his post, Kapur wrote that it was not Sushant's karma that he is no more. He also wished he was there for him lately.

Shekhar's first tweet read as "Dear Sushant, there was so much more you had to offer. Perhaps the world was not up to your beliefs... you should not have gone like this... but then you were an old wise soul in a restless young body. Often the heavens cannot handle that..."

This was tweeted by him on Sunday.

A while back Shekhar again penned, "I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last six months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours. #SushantSinghRajput"

In 2015, when Sushant was asked about Paani, he had said in a statement, "Around the second week of May, I will get to know about when the film will start rolling. I have read the script and I have had about 100 hours of discussion on the same with him. Just hearing him talk is so informative. Working with him will be like going to school because he is like an educational institution. The pre-production is currently on."
