Madhuri Dixit Nene mourns demise of 'friend and guru' Saroj Khan, says 'devastated by loss'
Saroj Khan is no more. The 71-year-old choreographer passed away after cardiac arrest while she was being treated in Bandra's Guru Nanak hospital. Her student Madhuri Dixit Nene mourned for the 'friend and guru', also mentioning that she is devastated to hear the news.

"I'm devastated by the loss of my friend and guru, Saroj Khan. Will always be grateful for her work in helping me reach my full potential in dance. The world has lost an amazingly talented person. I will miss you (heartbroken emoji). My sincere condolences to the family. #RIPSarojji," tweeted Madhuri.

Saroj Khan was admitted to the hospital on June 20 after she complained of breathing problems. On June 24, director Kunal Kohli had confirmed that she was recuperating and would be discharged within a day or two. However, news of her demise was confirmed by Khan's nephew on July 3, 2020.

Saroj Khan had worked with Madhuri Dixit-Nene on some popular songs like 'Chane Ke Khet Mein' and 'Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai'. She had also choreographed Madhuri's iconic song like 'Ek Do Teen' and 'Tamma Tamma', both which have a recreated version in today's time. Saroj Khan was also the face behind Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-Madhuri Dixit's face-off song 'Dola Re Dola'.
