'Will try my best': Rhea Chakraborty offers help amid second wave of COVID-19, opens DMs on InstagramBreaking her social media silence, Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty has offered to do her bit and help people combat the deadly second wave of the coronavirus in India. With this, Rhea joined a few celebrities and social media influencers who have been using their following to amplify SOS calls of patients, amid a shortage of hospital beds, oxygen cylinders, and life-saving medicines.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Rhea wrote, "Tough times call for unity, help all those that you can… Small help or big help, help is help... Dm me if I can help in any way... will try my best... take care, be kind... Love and strength."

For the uninformed, Rhea has been quite inactive on social media after the death of her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020. Last year, in September, Rhea was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and spent nearly a month in Byculla jail before being released on bail.

Earlier, during an interview with SpotboyE, the director of her upcoming film 'Chehre' Rumi Jaffery had opened up about the toll being in jail took on Rhea.

He had said, "It has been a traumatic year for her. Of course, the year was bad for everyone. But in her case, it was trauma on another level. Can you imagine any girl from a well-to-do middle-class family spending a month in jail? It has crushed her morale completely."

Rhea, incidentally, was missing from the posters of 'Chehre', also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. However, she had made a fleeting appearance in the trailer.
