'Happy Birthday Sachin Tendulkar': Wishes pour in from cricketing fraternity as Master turns 48Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar turned 48 on Saturday, April 24. Tendulkar, who is considered 'God of Cricket' in India was born on this day in 1973. The 'Master Blaster', who has 100 international centuries to his name with over 34,000 runs, has been one of the best ever players to play the game.

As he turned one more year older, the wishes poured in from all corners for the former batsman. Tendulkar's former opening partner, Virender Sehwag and current Indian skipper Virat Kohli led the way as many former and current cricketers joined in to wish their best for him.

Not just cricketers - male or female - a few known Bollywood faces such as Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene also wished Tendulkar on his birthday. Here are some of the reactions and sweet wishes:

Tendulkar, who has the highest number of runs in ODIs, 18426 and in the Tests 15921 retired from international cricket in 2013 after playing his last game at his home ground Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Since then, Tendulkar has been involved with the Mumbai Indians as their icon. Recently, he led the India Legends in the Road Safety World Series to the title where they defeated the Sri Lanka Legends in the final by 14 runs. Soon after that, Tendulkar tested positive for COVID-19 was later hospitalised as a precautionary measure.
