Jr NTR isolates himself after testing COVID-19 positive, asks fans not to worryTelugu actor Jr NTR on Monday (May 10) announced that he tested positive for COVID-19. The actor broke the news via his Twitter handle and has asked fans to not worry. The actor and his family are now under isolation.

“I’ve tested positive for Covid19. Plz don’t worry,I’m doing absolutely fine. My family & I have isolated ourselves & we’re following all protocols under the supervision of doctors. I request those who’ve come into contact with me over the last few days to pl get tested. Stay safe,” Jr NTR wrote in the Twitter post.

Jr NTR will be next seen alongside Ram Charan in SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’, which also marks the Tollywood debut of Bollywood superstar Alia Bhatt. Actor Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran will also be seen in the movie.

Set in the backdrop of 1920s pre-independent era, ‘RRR’ is based on the lives of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seethrama Raju, played by Jr NTR and Ram Charan, respectively. Bhatt will be playing the character of Sita opposite Ram Charan. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and other Indian languages.

Last month, Alia Bhatt had tested positive for the coronavirus while earlier this year co-star Ram Charan had also tested positive for the virus. In 2020, ‘RRR’ director Rajamouli had also tested positive for COVID-19.

On May 6, the cast of ‘RRR’ shared a video message with the caption, "Wear a mask always Get vaccinated when available. Let's #StandTogether to Stop The Spread of #COVID19 in India”. The video features Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan, Jr. NTR and the director, SS Rajamouli reiterating the importance of following protocols and staying safe in current times.

The much-awaited Pan-India film will have a worldwide release on October 13, 2021, on the festive occasion of Dusshera.
