After scary collision with teammate during PSL match, Faf du Plessis suffers memory lossSouth Africa batsman Faf du Plessis, who was taken to a hospital in Abu Dhabi after a scary collision with a teammate during Pakistan Super League (PSL) match is now said to have suffered some memory loss.

The Proteas had collided with Quetta Gladiators teammate Mohammad Hasnain in the match against Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday but is confident of making a quick return to action.

"Thank you everyone for all the messages of support. I'm back at the hotel recovering. Have a concussion with some memory loss but I will be fine. Hopefully, be back on the field soon," the former Proteas skipper du Plessis tweeted on Sunday.

As for the incident, it took place during the 7th over of Peshawar's innings where batsman David Miller played a shot towards the long-on boundary while Faf and Hasnain both ran towards the ball.

Faf went on to bang his head with Hasnain's knee and the South African cricketer fell on the ground. Soon the 36-year-old left the field and was seen sitting in the dugout.

According to Pakistan media reports, he was taken to the hospital for further scans and he couldn't return to the field.

As for the clash, Quetta Gladiators suffered a 61-run defeat to Peshawar Zalmi. The side will play Lahore Qalandars in their next match on Tuesday.

Opener Saim Ayub replaced du Plessis as a concussion substitute. The Gladiators also had to use a concussion substitute in their previous match when West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell was hit on his helmet.

Russell had suffered a blow on his head during the game between Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United. Russell was hit by a Mohammad Musa bouncer in the first innings.
