Prayer Events across Valley
On behalf of the Indian Community of Arizona, we would like to offer our condolences to the families of those Indians who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Mumbai.
At these times it is very difficult to fully express our horror at such events. At last count, 100 plus people lost their lives, more than double that figure were wounded, and every Indian was moved by the carnage. The terrorist targeted three five star hotels (Taj Mahal, Oberoi and Marriott ), Chhatrapathi Shivaji Terminus (CST) , a hospital, Metro Cinema, a BP gas station, and lots of other public places all across Mumbai.
We have all watched those images on our TV screens and computers with disbelief and anger at the carnage and mayhem as each minute brought new stories sorrow and sadness at the senseless attack. This is the time for everyone to join hands against terrorism and not pass comments to divide the country and its people.
We know the Arizona Indian community will keep those people who were victims of this outrage, and their families, in their thoughts and prayers. We know too they will be reaching out to support and comfort the survivors who have to live with the injuries and the memories from this most vicious, ugly and senseless slaughter.
Prayer Meetings have been arranged by various Local Organisations in the valley in support of the victims.
1. Friday 28th @ Ekta Mandir by Indo -American Foundation and Sisters Organisation.
2. Sunday 30th @ Hare Krishna (ISKCON).
If any of you need any assistance or any support in this crucial juncture please email it to us (Support @ azindia)
