International Yogi & Mystic Includes Phoenix in U.S. Tour

Adding Phoenix to his national tour, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, world-renowned mystic, yogi, visionary and founder of Isha Foundation, will share his insight with area residents on how to achieve inner well being, reduce anxiety and reach one’s peak potential in today’s challenging times.  The talk is open to the public at no cost and will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009, at the Mesa Convention Center at 263 North Center Street in Mesa. The event will start with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the talk at 7:00 p.m.

“Moments of upheaval and crisis in one's life are the times when one has to function at one's highest capabilities,” says Sadhguru.  ”But these are the times when mental and emotional distress exacts the greatest price, preventing us from functioning at our peak potential.”

Continuing the national tour that began in 2008, Sadhguru has delivered his inspiring message and programs in six major cities across the country to thousands of people—from influential CEOs in private meetings to unemployed auto workers in Detroit—helping to uplift their consciousness and relieve their fears.

Recently named as one of India’s top 50 powerful people, Sadhguru has earned a reputation as a speaker and opinion-maker of international renown for his insightfulness, passion and wit.  Most recently, he was invited for an unprecedented fourth time to speak at the 2009 World Economic Forum.  In the company of the Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and other world spiritual leaders, Sadhguru also appeared in Bill Moyer’s 2008 PBS documentary film “Beyond Our Differences.”  Other notable global speaking engagements include the United Nations Millennium Peace Summit, the Tallberg Forum and a recent business executive conference at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where Sadhguru’s book, “Midnights with the Mystic,” is required reading.

Through the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru’s teachings have been put into action in several initiatives, including large-scale human service projects to help rural villagers, children’s education and record-breaking global greening projects in India.  Through his scientifically-based Inner Engineering yoga program, millions of people globally of all ages, races and religions practice his methods to bring harmony to the body, mind, emotions and energy—leaving them naturally joyful and peaceful.

Based on response to earlier talks in the tour, the Phoenix event is expected to draw more than 1,000 people.  For more information or to register for the event, please visit www.ishafoundation.org/component/option,com_program/program_id,2212/task,details/ or call 866.424.ISHA (4742).
