Banksy's 'Dismaland' opens for final dayLondon, Sep 27 (AZINS) British graffiti artist Banksy's bemusement park Dismaland, constructed in the seaside resort town of Weston-super-Mare, is set to open its doors to public on Sunday for the final time.

The five-week pop-up exhibition which was launched on August 21, is a sinister twist on Disneyland and the artist has described it as a "family theme park unsuitable for children."

Among the exhibits are a dilapidated fairy castle, a distorted mermaid and a pond of migrant-filled boats, BBC reported.

More than 50 international artists were involved in the project.

On Friday, controversial Russian punk band Pussy Riot joined De La Soul and surprise guest Damon Albarn from the Gorillaz for a live evening event, a Masked Ball.

The dark attraction has brought over 150,000 paying visitors and it boosted the seaside town's economy by 20 million pounds (about $30 million).

Banksy previously said many of the works required "audience participation".

"A dead princess is only complete when surrounded by gawping crowds with their cameras out, or the opportunity to photograph yourself pulling an amazed expression when a killer whale leaps from a toilet," he added.

"I guess you'd say it's a theme park whose big theme is 'theme parks should have bigger themes'."

Banksy is the pseudonym of an British graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter.
