Nov 6(AZINS) Disney's live-action movie Alice in Wonderland was a spectacle to watch. It failed to get good reviews, but it earned over $1 billion for Disney. The sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass, once again directed by Tim Burton, brings back the quirkiness.
The original cast of Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, are joined by Rhys Ifans as Zanik Hightop and Sacha Baron Cohen as the new villain Iracebeth of Crims.
This time, Alice has to return to the world of Underland to save the Mad Hatter.
Alice in Wonderland pioneered the live-action remake trend for Disney, followed by Cinderella, Maleficent, Beauty and the Beast and The Jungle Book.
Alice Through Looking Glass is set to release on May 27, 2016
